Not too long ago, an idea came to me that would utilize my talent of capturing the essence and likeness of an individual in a very unique way. The concept is that I sculpt a bust of someone who has passed on. The cremation ashes are put in a velvet bag inside of the hollowed out sculpture and the sculpture is set into a recessed wooden base to prevent tipping.
It becomes a very special and personalized alternative to a standard cremation urn. I find it extremely gratifying to create such a special keepsake of a loved one.
